Robinhood Markets Inc. is quietly testing a new crypto transfer feature and cryptocurrency wallet for its app. This will enable customers to receive and send virtual currencies like bitcoin.
According to a report, a beta version of its iPhone app showcased the firm’s work on such features.
The report added that there was also a secreted picture displaying a waitlist page for users signing up for a cryptocurrency wallet feature.
The firm’s retail shareholders have long anticipated a cryptocurrency wallet. A day prior the brokerage declared its first quarterly outcomes the previous month, the top query on Say, a platform that allows firms to crowdsource queries from retail investors, was whether the company was announcing such a wallet.
The operator of the trading app has bet huge on the retail investor interest in the virtual currency world. Previously this month, the firm said that it would launch crypto recurring investments, enabling users to purchase virtual coins commission-free and with as little as $1 on their preferred schedule.
