The Michelin Star Indian chef and author Vikas Khanna is teaming up with NFT marketplace Akshaya.io to establish his personal NFT collectible. As part of the program, Khanna’s new limited-edition book, Sacred Foods of India, was released in physical and NFT formats on Thursday at an event in Dubai. The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will be revealing the book.

It’s a goal to bring India’s prosperous heritage to the World; we bring you the exquisite ‘Sacred Foods of India.’ Unveiling on Akshaya NFT – Next Generation platform, in Dubai on 23rd June.”
What content do the ‘Sacred Foods of India’ book contain?
Sacred Foods of India is a recipe cookbook, Khanna’s 38th book, presenting recipes of food items served at India’s sacred sites. It should be focused on that this is Khanna’s first NFT project.
Among Khanna’s other works are Barkatm UTSAV: A Culinary Epic of Indian Festivals and My First Kitchen.
When did this idea take place in Vikas’s mind?
Vikas Khanna also stated, “Almost eight years ago, I called Hemant Ji from Vedic Cosmos with a view of developing something like ‘Sacred Foods of India.’
A simple idea of representing holy foods from Temples, Gurdwaras, Mother Teresa’s Kitchen, Dargahs, Jain Temples, Synagogues, Monasteries & Fire Temple.
All these recipes are foods for the soul that also build communities. I am honored to put this Indian power in front of the whole World.”
