Amitabh Bachchan is the latest celeb to join the cryptocurrency bandwagon

Amitabh Bachchan becomes the current celebrity to join the crypto-space. Bachchan, who is now the brand ambassador of the Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX, will be operating to create awareness about crypto, the firm said in a press release. But he is far from the only big celeb, worldwide or in India, to be actively partaking in crypto. This makes sense bearing in mind that India is one of the nations where crypto space is experiencing quick expansion, in addition to Pakistan, Vietnam and Ukraine.

The veteran actor will also be joining the space of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These are virtual assets showcasing ‘distinctive’ objects like music, art, videos and in-game items among other items – that can be bought as collectible using cryptos.

Recently, media reports revealed that Amitabh is anticipated to roll out his own NFTs including some of the most exclusive and distinctive artworks encompassing his identity by next month this year.

Many foreign artists including American TV show host Steve Harvey and rapper Snoop Dogg have already hopped into the crypto-world, the craze is appealing Indian celebrities also.

Reportedly, actress Sunny Leone also invested in September, thereby becoming the first Bollywood actress to have done so.

In fact, Colexion, the NFT trading platform currently signed Indian artists including Suniel Shetty, Mika Singh, Aamir Ali and Sidhu Moose Wala, among others to be a member of its marketplace.
